Arthroniq is proud to announce its participation in Project Oxygen, a global collaborative effort led by Protofy.xyz to develop an automated ventilator solution for emergency situations where ventilator availability is critically limited.

This initiative brings together leading companies and academic institutions, including the Hospital Clínic, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, and the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), to address urgent medical needs during healthcare crises.

Technical Approach

Our contribution focuses on applying advanced engineering methodologies to create an automated ventilation system that can significantly reduce the manual workload typically required for patient ventilation. The solution leverages our expertise in rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing to ensure reliability and effectiveness.

Clinical Validation

Project Oxygen has demonstrated significant progress through rigorous clinical testing, successfully passing both in vitro and in vivo validation studies. The system received approval from the AEMPS (Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products), enabling its deployment in hospitals participating in the clinical study.

This approval represents a crucial milestone in bringing this life-saving technology to healthcare facilities facing ventilator shortages during emergency situations.
